I am very picky about what speed cleaning tools and “green” cleaners I recommend. I promise that the brands I advocate work GREAT! I also do research on the ingredients to make sure that these products really are SAFE for you and your children. I want you to be confident that your children can safely learn how to clean their own bathrooms! Below are the tools and cleaners that have been tried and tested by our family as well as countless families who have applied my system.

Speed Cleaning Tools

The Clean Team is the “original Speed Cleaning” Company and there is reason for that! They sell GREAT tools. I recommend their “child sized” aprons (call to request kid’s size), Dusting brushes, Tile brush, toothbrushes and scrapers and many other great speed cleaning tools. The Rag Company is my favorite one stop shop for MICROFIBER. Microfiber is the best kept secret to “green” and “speed” cleaning secrets. The Rag Company has the best mop for the best price when it comes to high quality microfiber mops. Make sure to try their STARTER KIT and add an 18″ mop. The Feather Duster Depot offer the best quality feather dusters for the best price that I can find on-line. They also carry a fantastic telescopic feather duster which is especially helpful if you have ceiling fans or cathedral ceilings in your home. **Allergy and asthma alert** Instead of feather dusters consider investing in a good quality Lambswool duster or Microfiber duster. These tools are really good for speed cleaning blinds and getting rid of cobwebs.


For Small Hands is a subdivision of Montessori Services, which is a supply company that offers wonderful “real” supplies for little people. Instead of investing in a toy cleaning caddy and a toy broom, buy a “real” one. These products are well made, affordable and simply the “real” thing, but made for little hands.

Green Cleaners

I have many good cleaners to recommend, but my all time favorite company for buying “green” cleaners that really work and really save you a lot of money is Shaklee. I have been using Shaklee cleaners for 18 years and hands down they are the best. They are highly concentrated, organic and economical. The Clean Team is the “Original Speed Cleaning Brand” and they offer some really great “green” cleaners. In addition to the speed cleaning tools I recommend Some of their cleaners as a safe option. Blue Juice for windows works as well as the most popular name brand window cleaner on the market. The difference is that it is non-toxic, unscented, safe, and very cost effective because it is concentrated. The other cleaner I love is Red Juice. This product is nothing short of amazing. It cuts through grease and performs miracles on stains as a pre-treat on clothes. Best of all, it is unscented, concentrated and safe for the whole family!


Lemishine is my favorite product for hard water deposits. Made from lemon crystals, it is a “green” product and works better than any other hard water deposit on the market. The scent is mild and lemony. This product performs miracles on refrigerator drip trays and faucets with crusty brown mineral deposits. Thieves Cleaner from Young Living is a very nice cleaner if you want something scented and safe. There are not many safe cleaners with a scent. Most scents are “fragrance” based and can contribute to allergies, illness and cancer. With Thieves, there is no fragrance added. This cleaner is made from 100% Essential oils. It has a nice clove and cinnamon scent. I dilute a capful in a 16 ounce spray bottle and mop my hardwood floors with this stuff. I order mine here.


Bon Ami is a very safe and effective replacement for other caustic scouring powders. Bon Ami will not ruin faucets and drains, as many of the other scouring powders will. Not to mention, it will not ruin your lungs and it is fantastic on Stainless steel sinks and cookware. This is staple in my house!


Essential Oils is one of my favorite things to add to our Shaklee Basic H2 all-purpose cleaning solution. We simply buy whatever oils we like and add a few drops to our all-purpose spray.
